Connecting With Us

At Peak Neurofeedback, we offer free 20-minute consultation sessions that you can easily request through our website. During these video or phone calls, you’ll meet with me—Katie, the owner of Peak Neurofeedback—to learn more about how neurofeedback works and to discuss your goals for treatment.

If you decide to move forward, we’ll schedule your first in-person session to collect the data needed to create your brain map. Before that visit, you’ll receive a comprehensive intake form where you can share detailed information about your symptoms and personal history. This information is vital, as it helps me understand what you’re experiencing and how best to support you.

Your First Visit

At your initial appointment, we’ll review the information from your intake forms and work together to create a personalized treatment plan based on the symptoms you want to address. The more detail you can provide about how your symptoms show up in daily life, the more precisely I can tailor your neurofeedback training to meet your needs.

Next, we’ll begin collecting data for your brain map. You’ll wear a cap—similar to a swim cap—equipped with 19 sensors that measure electrical activity across your cerebral cortex. The cap connects to an amplifier that records your EEG while you complete two five-minute segments: one with your eyes closed and one with your eyes open.

Reviewing Your Brain Map

After your session, I’ll analyze the data and generate a detailed map of your unique cortical functioning. When you return for your next appointment, we’ll review this map together. I’ll walk you through what the findings mean, how to interpret the patterns we see, and how they relate to the symptoms you’re experiencing. We’ll also discuss the specific training protocols I recommend based on both your brain map and your reported symptoms.

Typically, we’re able to begin neurofeedback training during this second session. Most clients complete one or two protocols during the same visit in which we review their map.
